Common Questions
What connectivity does the appliance need?
Just standard internet connectivity. The appliance establishes an encrypted overlay tunnel back to Cloud Command automatically. We recommend a dedicated connection for production workloads, but it's not required.
Who handles hardware failures?
We do. Our monitoring detects issues proactively, and we coordinate replacement hardware. You don't need to stock spares or manage vendor relationships.
Can I replicate between edge and cloud?
Yes. VMs can replicate between your edge appliance and our datacenter infrastructure for DR, burst capacity, or centralized backup.
What about physical security?
The appliances support full-disk encryption at rest. Data in transit is encrypted through our overlay network. You maintain physical access control at your site.
How long is the commitment?
We'll work with you on terms that make sense. Typical deployments are 12-36 months, but we're flexible during the pilot program.
